When offering the NSTP, whether during the mid-term or summer periods, the grouping of affected students from different educational institutions may be carried out, taking into account logistics, service sector and geographic considerations. CWTS and LTS graduates are automatically enrolled in the National Service Reserve Corps. Members of this corps can be solicited by the state for literacy and welfare activities through the joint efforts of DND, CHED and TESDA. ROTC graduates are part of the citizen armed forces under Republic Act No. 7077. “Program Component” – means the NSTP service components listed in section 4 of this Act. Through this training, students learn to be disciplined and effective. Self-improvement, performance and community participation are taught effectively in NSTP courses. The main objective of the NSTP Act is to protect the participation of young people in nation-building. It is also important to raise awareness among young people and improve their physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual and social well-being. It is important to develop patriotism and nationalism among students and inspire children to become civic organizers and community volunteers. However, some individuals are exempt from the NSTP: SECTION 4 Establishment of the National Service Program.

– There is established a National Service Training Program (NSTP), which is part of the curricula of all bachelor`s degree courses and at least two years of technical and vocational courses, and is a prerequisite for graduation, including the following service elements: The Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), which becomes optional and voluntary upon the enactment of this Act; the Literacy Service; and the Civic Welfare Training Service SECTION 14. – Completion of ROTC education as a prerequisite for graduation is reserved for students who, despite all their academic units, have been admitted to graduation since the entry into force of this Law. To be exempted from the NSTP requirement, write a letter of application to the Dean of the Faculty of Education stating the reason for your exemption and attaching an attestation (and reports, if applicable) on one of the three conditions above. SECTION 12 Implementing Rules. – DND, CEED and TESDA shall have joint responsibility for enacting provisions for the application of this Act within sixty (60) days of the approval of this Act. one. The two (3) unit courses to be taken must come from the same component of the program. Foreign students SECTION 3. Definition of the term. – For the purposes of this Law, enrolment in the NSTP 2 program (component of the NSTP-CWTS program) is defined as follows.
